Last year, I kept track of nearly every movie I watched on DVD and of every movie I saw at the theatres. This year, I plan to keep track of every book and short story I read.

Here goes nothing!

I’ll periodically post this link throughout the year for those of you that are interested. Also, feel free to ask me about my thoughts on any book if you have any.

I don’t care if you read Science Fiction, Romance, Non-Fiction, Mystery, Children’s, True Crime, anything. I care that you are reading. I care that you have the ability to escape this world. I care that you know how to enjoy a book for what it’s worth. You can take the ride—you can enjoy that book through its ups and downs, through its bad and good parts, through its boring and entertaining moments.

Books take you on a wonderful journey. They let you believe in something you may have never believed in. For that time, while you’re reading that book, you are living in that world. Nothing can touch you, you are invincible.

You think you can see a movie based on a book, and think you don’t need to read the book. But you do. With the book, you create your own movie. You use the tools the author has given you. But you create it. You put it all together. You create that picture in your head. And nothing can beat that. You’re invincible in the world of books. You are not only the reader but you are the creator as well.

I love reading. And I wish that everyone could be excited about the book they are reading, like I am. If there’s one thing I wish in this world, it’s that people will read and keep on reading.
