LNQ10 Results— You live in the SW Galaxy, what planet are you from?

My Response: I generally say Corellia if asked this question. To change things up, today, I am going to not say Corellia. I’d probably live on Coruscant for my working career but I’d be from Taanab. Preferably I’d be born around the same time as a Senor Wes Janson, so we could grow up and be crazy hooligans together. We’d probably cause boatloads of trouble. And it’d be swell. 

Survey says: Corellia—which well, is quite an obvious choice, seeing as if you were born there there’s a 50% chance you’ll be a badass smuggler or a 50% chance you’d be a stellar member of CorSec and later work for the New Republic as a starfighter pilot or in Intelligence. Runners up: Alderaan and Anaxes.

This is my puzzle-model Solar System. I said I would post a picture when I have it up. Ta-da. I’ll probably take a better picture sometime later. But you get the idea! It’s ridiculously awesome. Hooray. The best part is they included Pluto. If you want to buy it~! I also bought solar system wall stickers, which I am returning because the cut of Saturn and Uranus are completely off.

The United States of Star Wars. Here is the completed list of the planets and states. There are probably tens of planets that work for each state, I picked either the first one that I came to or the best fit.  Planets were assigned based on partial terrain, landmarks that correlate with the planet and state, types of people in the state and planet, famous landmarks, or slightly randomly selected (but loosely based on facts) from my brother and myself. It took a few days but I’m pretty satisfied with the end result. Click through to enlarge. I’ve been throwing this idea around

That it’d be fun to take the U.S. States and designate Star Wars worlds to them based on climate, land formations, what they’re famous for, etc. And not only just limit it to U.S. States but other countries as well.

Feel free to reply to this or message me with planet/state or country suggestions and I can see if we can come up with a list. And then I’ll spend some time making a graphic related to it and I’ll post a list when it’s completed.  

For example: Arizona or New Mexico could be Tatooine. Alaska could be Hoth. (These are examples so feel free to designate other worlds to these states).

This opposition is special because Neptune will be returning close to the spot where it was discovered in 1846, marking its first complete trip around the sun since its discovery. Coincidentally opposition in 1846 also fell on Aug. 20, although the planet wasn’t actually spotted until over a month later, on Sept. 23. (via space.com)
