erublog replied to your post: Shame on you! The photo you just reblogged is inaccurate- neither Biggs nor Porkins were in Rogue Squadron, seeing as it wasn’t formed until AFTER the destruction of the first Death Star.
But several of the Rogue Squadron books refer to Red Squadron as the beginnings of the Rogues, and I think generally Biggs and Porkins are considered part of the legacy….
Yeah, whenever Wedge really talks about like ‘Who Rogue Squadron lost’ he always includes Biggs and Porkins. I really think Red Squadron is synonymous to Rogue Squadron, but more of the like beginnings because I mean, needing other squadrons to help take down a Death Star? Pfft. Give that to Rogue Squadron now*, and they could do it blindfolded…in Y-Wings.
